Last week, Knobs, Hinges, & More proudly announced it’s collaboration with Myterra.com .  This week I wanted to talk about their products more in depth.

Zoisite Ruby

When you order multiple products with the same stone selection, however, we will strive to ensure that your order is completed with the most similar stones available to us.  Stone selection is affected by our current inventory and market availability at any given time. ~~  Care and Cleaning ~~

There are two types of gemstones, opaque (cloudy, blocking light) or tranparent (clear, let’s light through).

Gemstones can be easily damaged, destroying their beauty and value when improper cleaning methods are used.

Zoisite Ruby

Opaque gemstones may be wiped with a damp, soapy, soft cloth, but should never be submerged. The safest method of cleaning transparent gemstones is to wash them in warm water with a mild detergent. You may use a toothbrush or other soft brush to gently remove residue. Rinse well with lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth.

Exposure to full sun or freezing temperatures is not recommended.  Some gemstones may fade in prolonged exposure to sun. Clean stones with mild soap and water only, do not use harsh chemicals or alcohol-based products. Do not use water or water-based cleaners on Pyrite gemstones; wipe with dry soft cloth,vacuum, or use dust/lint remover spray.

As with most everything, with proper care of your gemstones, they will maintain their beauty like they were brand new.
